In a year's time, dark and autumnal Tartu will become a luminous lighting centre, bringing knowledge and warmth into the heart of the city through light. The main events of the Tartu Architectural Lighting and Light Art Festival TAVA2020 will take place from 28th to 31st October 2020, but the workshops week and the side program will create a festival lasting almost a month.

In cooperation with Tartu in Light, the Annual General Meeting of the LUCI (Lighting Urban Community International) will take place for the first time in Estonia, bringing together nearly 300 specialists in the field of light art and architectural lighting.
The LUCI Annual General Meeting, to be held in Tartu, Estonia, in 2020, is the main event on the LUCI calendar and the only international forum on urban lighting to hold panel discussions, workshops and open conferences on new lighting trends and projects.

After the gatherings in Rabat in 2018 and Shanghai in 2019, they will return to Europe next year and this time to Tartu on the river Emajõgi. It is a great honour and recognition for the realisation of the visions of the City of Tartu and TAVA.
