Elo Liiv is a sculptor and a lecturer, who uses modern technology – video, mapping, light and kinetics for creating site-specific and experimental art. Elo is teaching light installation at Estonian Academy of Arts, is a lighting specialist for the city of Tallinn. She is one of the leaders of NGO Valgusklubi, who are the organisers of Tallinn Light Biennial, Tartu in Light and other light events.

Sabine De Schutter

Sabine De Schutter is a Berlin-based lighting architect. She runs her own lighting design studio and works on projects ranging from office lighting to welcoming museum lighting. She has won several awards for her research and design projects. She gives workshops at several universities and is a lecturer at HPI School of Design Thinking.

KIWA is a multichannel meta-artist, he explores and blends different media from conceptual objects to total audiovisual environments. He is also a curator and a writer, interested in quote, pastiche, games of language, identity using (post)psychoanalysis and schizoanalysis as self-explanatory artistic methods. He has exhibited his works all over the world, including Moderna Museet, Henie Onstad, Tate Modern, Stedelijk and DeAppel.

Johan Moritz

Johan Moritz is a member of IALD and for the last 14 years he has designed prestigious works whilst being an exclusive lighting designer for Malmö, Sweden. In this role, he has had the responsibility of developing Malmö’s architectural lighting design department. Johan founded the Lighting Metropolis project (2015-2018) that tries to find new ways of creating better light in our environment.

Tina Wikström

Tina Wikström is a student of IALD and has been working as a lighting designer for the City of Malmö doing projects mostly in urban space, both permanent and temporary. This year she was selected as one of the young lighting designers of our new generation and ambassadors for the industry by 40under40.

Varvara & Mar is a Tallinn-based artist duo formed by Varvara Guljajeva and Mar Canet in 2009. They have exhibited their work and taken part in festivals around the world, including MAD in New York, FACT in Liverpool, Santa Monica in Barcelona, Barbican in London, Onassis Cultural Centre in Athens.

Marko Kuusik

Marko’s passion is lighting and his mission is to use lighting to improve our living environments. He has been working with electrical installations for over eight years and as an electrical and lighting engineer for over nine years. He is one of the founding members of EVDA. At the moment Marko is studying architectural lighting design at Hochschule Wismar.

Margo has academic background in humanities and social sciences. He’s been contributing to local cultural life in public sector and organising local concerts. He was involved in an international outdoor lighting project “Light in the City” as the coordinator of a public lighting act “Guerrilla Lighting” (2013-2014).

Marika is a specialist in organizing events and festivals. As an active culture manager, she’s been organising Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF), Drama festival, Birgitta festival and Tartu Hanseatic Days. Currently Marika is working at the biggest theatre in Estonia – Vanemuine Theatre – where she daily works with musicals and special productions

Michelle James is a teacher in the International circuit. Michelle likes to be creative and think out of the box, to experiment with different ideas in a variety of subjects. One of her passions is interdisciplinary teaching using art across the curriculum.

Jaanus Tamm

Jaanus Tamm has been working as a project manager at Tartu City Government for more than seven years. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Tallinn University of Technology and worked for over 15 years in the private sector. Jaanus Tamm was involved in an international project “Light in the City” aimed at outdoor lighting (2013-2014).
